Mini Album Friday

Hi Friends!

Today I wanted to come to you with a 6 X 6 mini Album. It was soooo much fun to create and the colors were so darling! I made this mini for my sister who has been living in France for the past year. She came home to California for her birthday and, I knew I wanted to create something for her that she could cherish for years to come. I picked random pictures from her Facebook page that illustrated some her the moments I thought she would want to remember from her first year living the "French" life. Of course I took a few pictures:)

This is the front cover I used the Hello Today Collection by Heidi Swapp and of course, Prima flowers. Here are a couple more pictures of the inside.

Pictures do not give the mini album justice so for that reason, I of course did a project share video. Check it out!

This Mini album took me about a day to finish. I guess when you are having fun and have a deadline, it's easier to get it done right?! haha. Since my sister had told me she liked my cards I HAD to make one for her so, of course I had to create one that matched not only the mini but also her personality!

You guess it! it's a My-Besties card!  I love the colors of this one! Mainly because they're my faves but so cute! She loved her presents and said she would display them at her place in France:) The look on her face when she opened her present was priceless. I loved seeing her reaction!

Layout Monday - "Timeless"

Hi Friends!

So I am back! I wanted to share with you a layout that I made for my mother-in-law for Mother's day. I really wanted to create a project for her that would be timeless. I asked my Father-in-law if he could send me pictures of them and I would pick one:) Here's the layout:

I used a 12 x 12 canvas, a mix of Recolletions and Prima flowers ( Of course :)) some Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays and little of Mixed media imgination:) here are some close ups:

When she opened it she was so surprised and happy! She was so happy she cried! It was so beautiful seeing that look in her eyes then I remembered, this is why I craft. To showcase memories we never want to forget. I always loved creating layouts but now I see a deeper meaning to my creations:) I hope you enjoyed my "timeless" Layout.

Card with no stamped image?!

Hi Friends!

So you know that I typically make cards with stamped images well, I actually do make cards without stamped images. For this one I used a sentiment from Stampin' Up as well as paper from my favorite paper company Prima:)

I designed an easel card and really wanted to use more "masculine" colors. Here is my take on it:

I used some bling from Recollections and the flowers are from Prima of course! I used the Time Traveler's Memories Collection I just love the deep elegant colors of that collection! If I have been thinking about getting the papers from this collection, get them!! It will make any project stunning!

What do you think of the card? I wasn't sure where I was going to go with this but I love it! perfect for Father's day right around the corner;) I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Mixed Media Please:)

So I have been diving into the MIXED MEDIA world lately. I am IN LOVE. who knew all the amazing projects you can create with different mediums added to already beautiful papers! I wanted to start off slow. Here is a tag I created:

I just love all the different textures on this tag and not to mention the colors! 

So I kept playing around and randomly sprayed some card stock with some sprays I had just added to my collection. Well, I didn't want to waste what I sprayed so I made my very FIRST mixed media card. Let me know what you think!

I used a mixture of gelatos, sprays, embossing powders and a homemade stencil:) who knew I would dive into mixed media! now I am hooked! So be sure to stay tuned for more mixed media projects!

Mixed Media Layout "Forever" & NSD

I have been so much into mixed media lately! So I have made a layout called "Forever" and you will see why:

This layout was so much fun to make and not to mention freeing!!! I used a mixture of products including some sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang & the new Prima bloom Sprays!

What did you do for National Scrapbooking Day? I was up VERY early to follow live with Prima on Ustream! I entered every giveaway possible and let me tell ya, it was WORTH IT! Here's a look why:

Yup! not only I won the Instagram Prize from Prima but I also scored a prize during the live with Prima Ustream classes! I am sooo thrilled! things like this NEVER happen to me! not only I won ONE but TWO of the Prima giveaways! so excited!
