Bible Journaling - Psalm 23:4

Hi Friends!

To be honest, I was a little nervous about today's project. I totally went with it and had no plan in mind and just listened to my heart and this is what I came up with:

Yes, you guessed it, I did my VERY first Bible journaling page! I had so much fun and definitely felt the love of God while creating this page.

The verse that spoke to me is Psalm 23:4 which reads "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod, and your staff, they comfort me" Psalm 23:4

I was a little nervous to spray in my Bible but I love how it came out!

I knew that a lot of you would be interested in what I used and how I used it so, I recorded a process video for you all:)

Like promised I will have a list of all the products I used below:

I hope you enjoyed this types of posts because theres more coming!! :)

Remember, if I can do it, so can you! Crafty Me. Crafty You.

Journaling Bible: A New Journey

Hi Friends!

It's  been a while since I posted on my blog without it being a design team project. I have been going through a few personal things lately and I have been putting my crafting aside which, is very unlike me if you have been following me for a little while. I recently went to the scrapbook expo in Sacramento with my buddy Marisa:)

I always have such a fabulous time with her. We actually met on Youtube;) She makes YouTube videos herself. She is mam1016 on YouTube, make sure you follow her she's awesome:) While at the expo she shared with me this thing called  a "Journaling Bible". I was immediately intrigued. I looked it up during lunch and fell in love with the idea.

Marisa and I have been dealing with health problem and this seems to be something that we both "need" at this time in our life. I am so blessed that she shared it with me :)

As soon as I got home I looked up Shanna Noel's blog to get more info about it. And boy, I have discovered so many things that I never knew was out there. I have been wanting to be more in touch with my spiritual/religious side and this has been such a perfect blend of the two things I love. God and Art.

I wanted to share with you some of the things I will be using:

This bible is perfect because it has 2 inch margins on the side. I will have a link to all the tools and books I will be using on my Journaling Bible/ Bible study. This particular version is the ESV Bible which is very easy to read.

I picked up most of these on Amazon except the polka-dot pen and Sharpie gel highlighters that I picked up at Target.

In addition so journaling inside the Bible I have been inspired to have a separate art journal. I will be using the bigger sized journal but I wanted to share that there is a smaller version if the big one overwhelms you;)

These rub-ons are from Hobby Lobby. They are on sale this week for 50% off. I like rub-ons because I know they will work perfectly inside the Bible.

Two words. Deli.Paper. Yup. You are probably like, what is that? Well I wasn't aware myself of what it was but looks like a lot of crafters use it in their projects. I picked mine up at Smart and Final. It's basically the paper that is in between hamburger patties. It's nice and thin and doesn't have much wax on it. It's almost as see through as vellum paper but a much thinner weight. This one cost me about $12 with tax. It has 1,000 sheets and measures 9 x 12. They also carry 12 x 12 papers but I thought that was a little too big for what I am going to use it for:)

And finally here are all the books I will be reading from and get inspiration from:) I will have all the links down below:)

I hope I have inspired you to start your own Journaling Bible and I really look forward in sharing what I come up with:)

Sweet Layout

Hi Friend!

Today's layout was so much fun to create:) I am SO happy I did not forget to turn on the camera. Seriously speaking though, I love working with kits. It makes it so much easier and takes the guess work out. I was able to create this layout in 30 minutes! For me, it's a record and I know for a fact that if I wasn't working with a kit I probably would of spent hours trying to put colors together.

Okay, enough with the rambling haha! Here is my layout:

So fun creating this layout! Now, you know I will have a process video of this layout at the end of this post:) Here is a list of what I used:

The Sweet Stamp Shop - Magical Kit
American Crafts Mini Stapler
Art Glitter - Glitter glue ( with fine tip )
Teresa Collins - Gold and Silver Enamel dots
Prima Marketing - Sugardot Stickers from the All Start Collection
Heidi Swapp - Roller Date Stamp
Target - Roller Stamp
